I am VERY EXCITED about this announcement! There is a brand new journal coming out for Veterinary Technician students and graduates! It is called "Today's Veterinary Technician" and it is an "official journal of the NAVC" (North American Veterinary Community, which runs the awesome conference in Orlando every January!)!!! Editor in chief is Lynne Johnson-Harris, LVT, RVT who is also on our Program Advisory Committee! It starts in January 2016.

Travel Career Questions
Hi Everybody
I have really enjoyed and appreciated reading all of your discussions and questions. I have been in the Travel course since January. I am on Course 4 of Sabre training. I have had the intention of reaching out to all of you, however it seems at times that I barely have enough time just to get my studying done. I've been looking for jobs relating to this field for awhile, and like most of you have already discovered pretty much all of them require at least 2 years experience. How do you get the experience if you cant get a job? So I've been looking into finding a Host Agency. Most days I feel overwhelmed by all of the information, and I feel like the more I look into the more questions I have. I'm really just kind of wanting to know if you feel like sharing what you plan on doing with your travel career. Also I know that some of you have said that different host agencies are good for different reasons. If some of you could share any of your own opinions or insight on any of them at all that would by really helpful. You all seem like wonderful people, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much.
I almost forgot. I am very interested in ecotourism, and sustainable travel. I am also very interested in volunteer travel. I love traveling, however I always feel like I don't get a full travel experience if I am not able to connect with the local people, or if I feel like I have left behind something positive.

Introduction to Coding: Lesson 1: Assignment 1
I have just started the Introduction to Coding module and was wondering about my first assignment within Lesson 1. It says in the study guide that for assignment 1 that I am supposed to be reading pages xviii - xxii in my text book, STEP-BY-STEP Medical Coding. And then later on it says to read the Introduction. First off, the pages that the study guide first states for me to read do not make sense. And then secondly, I am not sure if I am supposed to be reading just the few paragraphs that are in the introduction, or the entire first chapter... I am so lost.
