Hello everyone,
I am writing this message in hopes of seeking advice from those who are already working as veterinary technicians, and who have experienced similar issues. I am currently working as a veterinary technician while I am in school and I work with a range of new to very experienced technicians in my hospital. I get along with majority of everyone except for one person. This person thinks that just because I am a new tech, and that I am learning, that therefore I am not capable or always need help; they constantly feel the need to try and take over or assist with my work. We have almost gotten into arguments with one another several times because of this issue. I have asked some advice from the co-workers I am close with and they tell me this person does this to everyone, experienced or not. But I am still not sure how to deal with this issue? I do not feel comfortable having a conversation with her, and now I just try to avoid working with her. Has anyone else had this problem? What do you recommend?
