I'm having trouble with InDesign CS6 download. Adobe Creative Cloud app downloaded, but instead of being directed to ID CS6, the only ID available was ID CC. How can I do my assignments?

I'm having trouble with InDesign CS6 download. Adobe Creative Cloud app downloaded, but instead of being directed to ID CS6, the only ID available was ID CC. How can I do my assignments? I would appreciate hearing from an instructor or student who has taken the Desktop Publishing course.
